Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery

Comprehensive Otolaryngology Training

The UBC Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery residency program provides a comprehensive educational experience that follows the Royal College CBME outline. We train residents that can step straight into community practice or a prestigious fellowship.

Taking Care of British Columbia

As the only residency program in British Columbia we work at a variety of comprehensive facilities serving a broad patient population. Our residents train at Level 1 Trauma Centres, a Quaternary Care Pediatric Hospital and a variety of diverse community hospitals.

A Culture of Wellness

UBC OHNS as well as the UBC PGME have a wellness mandate for its residents and even staff. A dedicated resident representative helps organize annual retreats, weekend group exercise events, picnics on the beach, winter and summer sporting. The undeniable natural beauty of British Columbia and its lively cityscape provide the perfect setting for UBC OHNS to kickback and relax.

Commitment To Research Excellence

The division fosters innovative research that advances knowledge and translates new discoveries to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities. Research opportunities feature extensive collaborations across disciplines, health institutions and health partners throughout British Columbia, Canada and internationally.
